4 STEPS TO GETTING A DRIVER’S LICENCE

1. GET YOUR PROVISIONAL LICENCE

Before you can start taking driving lessons, you need to apply for a provisional drivers licence.

Application for a provisional licence can be made online or in person at your local post office. To apply online for your provisional driving licence please go to https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence.

You can apply for your provisional licence by completing the D1 application form, available from your local Post Office.

3. PASS YOUR THEORY TEST

You must complete a hazard perception test and a multiple choice test in order to pass your theory test.

The theory test must be completed before you can move on to take your practical driving test.

2. BOOK A DRIVING LESSON

4. PASS YOUR PRACTICAL TEST
